Shanyce Makeui is a 5'8 senior guard for the Bingham Miners and she also plays for the NWBA club team. Last season for the Miners she averaged nearly seven points per game. She has definitely improved her game and I believe she will have a huge senior season. Recently at our showcase she was unstoppable as she was able to get to the basket with her quick first step. Makeui also has a very strong body that will help her game translate to the next level. Here is my interview with Shanyce...
What are some of your strengths as a player?
"I am very good at getting to the basket and finishing. I'm pretty quick and can handle the ball well so this allows me to get where I want on the court."
What are some things you would like to work on?
"I would like to work on my defense and would like to be more consistent on that end of the floor."
Who is your favorite pro basketball to watch and why?
"Russell Westbrook because of how talented he is also of how much of a leader he is on the floor."
What is your dream college to play for?
"My dream school is UCLA because they have a great program and I love L.A."
What schools are recruiting you right now?
"Mt. Hood Community College."
Why should a college coach recruit you?
"A college coach should recruit me because I'm coachable, a leader, and a team player."
What is your favorite of the court activity?
"I like to hangout with my friends and family."
