Jackson Hill is a 6'5 senior guard at Burley High School which is located in the small town in southern Idaho. He has jumped onto the radars of several junior colleges this fall with his incredible athleticism. At our showcase a few weeks ago he recorded a 40 inch vertical! Here is my interview with Jackson...
What are some of your strengths?
"I feel that my strengths as a player is definitely my athleticism and length. This allows me to guard multiple positions at any point during a game. Another strength of mine is being able to get to the rim and finish over bigger players."
What are some things you need to work on as a player?
"I think what I need to work on is my passing and ball handling."
Who is your favorite player and why?
"My favorite player is Vince Carter because he is the best dunker of all time! Ever since I was little and watched his highlights I would go out and lower my hoop and imitate all of his dunks."
What is your dream college to play for?
"My dream college to play for is the Duke Blue Devils. I have always liked them since I was a little kid."
What colleges are recruiting you?
"Currently, Southwestern Oregon Community College and Centralia College are recruiting me the most."
Why should a college coach recruit you?
"I am a very hard worker, unselfish player and disciplined. I will bring a great work ethic to any program I apart of."
What is your favorite off the court activity?
"I enjoy fishing and hunting when I'm not playing basketball."
