Top Girls Performers (Week 2)

Every high school has now played a game in the state of Utah. We will be highlighting the top performers of the second week of the season.
Finau Tonga 6'2 C 2019 (Taylorsville) averaged over 25 points and 12 rebounds in two games this week. She is one of the best posts in the state. Tonga has the ability to take over any game which puts her team in position to win almost any game.

Emma Calvert 6'4 C 2021 (Fremont) averaged 12 points in two wins against versus Copper Hills and Sky View. She is one the best 2021 posts in the country and Calvert will be a high major recruit. 

Breaunna Gillen 5'10 G 2019 (Copper Hills) the Dixie State Signee is currently the top scorer in 6A. She averaged over 18 points 6 rebounds and 3 assists in three games this past week. Gillen will have  to continue her play if Copper Hills wants to compete for a 6A title.

Maelyn Mace 5'11 G 2019 (Timpanogos) averaged  nearly 20 points per game in two games. She shot the ball well from three and was able to get in the paint and score. Mace is an excellent ball handler and is able to find ways to attack the defense.

Whitney Banz 5'6 G 2020 (West) averaged nearly 20 points and 5 assists per game in two games. She did this versus good competition as West played 6A Copper Hills and American Fork. Banz is an excellent shooter  and can score be getting to the hoop.

Amber Kartchner 5'9 G 2020 (Logan) averaged nearly 24 points 5 rebounds in 3 assists in her four games. She is a dynamic guard that shoot the three and also blow past she defenders. Kartchner will have Logan in contention for a 4A title run.

Jenna Czarnecki 5'7 G 2020 (Bonneville) averaged 18 points per game in three games this past week. She will need to continue being a scoring threat for the Lakers to repeat as region champs.
