Week 1 Top Performers

11/23/2017

The first two days of the Utah high school basketball season has come and gone. There has been plenty of big performances. We are going to highlight a few of the top players from these two days.

Truman brown 6'3 G 2018 (Layton) had a huge performance in a big win over 6A Top 5 American Fork. He poured in 29 points including 4 three pointers including a buzzer beater to send it to OT. I have highlighted several times that Brown is very underrated and would be a great D2 or  juco player.
Mason Falslev 6'3 G 2020 (Sky View) poured in 34 points in a win at Bonneville. The stud guard already has offers from BYU and Utah State and I expect more schools to get in the mix after a big sophomore season.
Trevon Allfrey 6'6 F 2019 (Copper Hills) had back to back good performances with 23 points in a win vs Uintah and then 26 points in a win vs Box Elder. The Grizzles are going to need this kind of production from him in order to stay competitive in 6A.
Matt Norman 6'4 G 2019 (Timpanogos) came out of the gate blazing as he scored 38 points including 9 three pointers in a win over Herriman. Norman could be an another D1 player out of a loaded 2019 class in the state of Utah.
Taylor Zwick 6'2 G 2019 (East) was lights out versus Hillcrest as he scored 24 points including 5 three pointers. His quick release is tough to cover and Zwick can shoot on the move as good as anyone I have seen in a while.
Cam Chism 6'1 G 2020 (Bountiful) the sophomore had a very impressive game versus 6A power Davis as he scored 19 points including 5 three pointers. Chism is one of the best 2020 prospects in Utah that no one has really talked about. I expect a big year from him and also Bountiful in the 5A classification.
Carter Berish 6'1 G 2019 (Green Canyon) left Sky View HS for the newly opened Green Canyon and he didn't wait long to make an impact. In a blowout win over Ogden Berish had 29 points including 5 three pointers.
